Busy, busy, busy preparing our jewellery and fixtures to set up our stand on Saturday for the Top Drawer exhibition in London Earls Court this weekend. This will be the third year we have shown here and we are very excited about catching up with our customers and meeting some new ones! It’s such a lovely show with so many unique and different gift products all under one roof.
We have lots of new styles to show you! Our Spring/Summer 2012 collection of vintage jewels has been inspired by style icons such as Elizabeth Taylor, Faye Dunaway and Hitchcock Heroines. Also influencing some of the colours in particular, were some of the stunning lifestyle photographs taken by Slim Aarons in the 1950′s to the 1970′s of the upper classes and aristocracy poolside. Just beautiful.

Our December pick for Shop of the Month is Porta, located right here in Brighton. Nestled in the picturesque shopping area known as The North Lanes, this lovely shop is a great place to stock up on all sorts of accessories ranging from handbags to jewellery. Porta’s lovely Christmas displays certainly grabbed our attention!

2011 was an eventful year for Lovett & Co. We expanded our jewellery range with a new bridal collection, which has proved very successful with brides and bridesmaids alike. We have also improved the functionality and gorgeousness of our website www.lovettandco.co.uk with all thanks going to our new team member and web wizard Mr Saunders! We also welcome our lovely new assistant Joanna to the Lovett & Co team.

The Auction of Elizabeth Taylor’s jewellery collection held at Christie’s in New York last night exceeded all expectations!
The first item up for sale was a gold and gem charm bracelet, estimated at $25,000.00 – $35,000.00 actually sold for $326,500.00! This seemed to set the tone for the rest of the evening which was expected to total at approx $30 million but in fact took $115,932,000.00 or £74,196,480.00.
This auction broke a world record for most valuable private collection of jewels sold at auction.

In cinemas this Friday the eagerly anticipated film about Marilyn Monroe’s visit to England to make a movie in 1956. Starring Michelle Williams as Marilyn, Emma Watson, Judi Dench and Kenneth Branagh.
We are looking forward to seeing Colin Clark’s insight into that week in which would be forever in his heart. We must also add that we are looking forward to seeing the costumes and jewels too!

The Royal Landscape is an area of a thousand acres of gardens and parkland, accessible to the public, at the southern end of Windsor Great Park. It includes The Savill Garden, The Valley Gardens and Virginia Water Lake. It is a man-made landscape, which has been shaped and planted over a period of 400 years.
Such beautiful surroundings to compliment or beautiful jewels. We have the perfect gifts for all ages from teens to Grandmothers.
